Basic B.Sc NURSING (4 Years)

RNS College of This Programme of study leads to B.Sc Nursing Degree offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The Candidates who opt for nursing are necessarily required to possess high motivation towards nursing Profession. They should possess special qualities of a spirit of altruism, commitment and dedication to work with a high level of maturity. The academic year commences from the first week of September every year. Every year 60 students are admitted to this course. The students are provided with clinical experience in all clinical areas to enable the students to take up the first level positions in nursing. However, with experience they can rapidly move into leadership and supervisory positions in various areas of nursing education and practice. This programme provides the necessary foundation to take up post graduate and doctoral studies in nursing.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery, 3 Years)

This Programme of study leads to GNM diploma in Nursing offered by Karnataka State Nursing Diploma Board Examination. The Candidates who opt for nursing are necessarily required to possess high motivation towards nursing Profession. They should possess special qualities of a spirit of altruism, commitment and dedication to work with a high level of maturity. The academic year commences from the first week of September every year. Every year 60 students are admitted to this course. The students are provided with clinical experience in all clinical areas to enable the students to take up the first level positions in nursing. This programme provides the necessary foundation to take up graduate, post graduate and doctoral studies in nursing.

Uniform and Study materials

The College will provide uniform attire for the students. The candidates are expected to have 2-3 sets of prescribed uniforms. While wearing uniform, any kind of jewellery is not permitted to be worn except small ear studs & hair must be put up and nail polish is not allowed. Students are expected to be in clean uniform always. It is mandatory for the students are also expected to have the prescribed study materials such as text books & record books.
